TAWP: The Adventures of the Writing Process

During observation under the organization AmeriCorps, in the years of 2018-2020, a common phenomenon appeared for each class of 2nd grade ELA students. These 2nd grade students had and continue to have struggles within approaching writing. The issue of writing is not the physical mechanics of writing (i.g. Handwriting, constructing sentences, spelling, etc.), the issue is the process of writing. Research will be conducted to look at a particular program, TAWP (The Adventures of The Writing Process), designed to aid students in developing their writing, while also providing instructional materials to educators.
