Special Issue on Highlights of Graduate Projects
We invite interested authors to submit graduate project highlights for publication in our upcoming annual series, which will showcase exceptional work from project-based (non-thesis/dissertation) programs. High-quality projects will be considered for inclusion in the OTESSA Journal, indexed in prestigious databases like ERIC and EBSCO Education Ultimate. Submissions from authors belonging to structurally marginalized groups are strongly encouraged.
The issue will be published as a two-page highlight with a hyperlink to the full project stored in your institution’s repository.

Mapping Terminology, Theory, Policy, and Resources Across Key Areas of Impact In Educational Technology
This special issue focuses on key areas in educational technology, including modality, open education, AI, micro-credentials, digital literacy, and IDDEA for Ed Tech (inclusion, decolonization, diversity, equity, and accessibility). As the field evolves rapidly, this issue aims to consolidate insights and foster dialogue by bringing diverse perspectives and expertise together.

Special Issue on Supporting and Understanding Access to Research Funding in Education, Educational Technology, and Open: Exploring Challenges and Opportunities
Despite efforts to foster more equitable and inclusive research environments, tensions persist across disciplines—between qualitative and quantitative approaches, hard sciences and the humanities, and privileged versus marginalized researchers and students. A common thread in these divides is the issue of respect.
