We were Awarded SSHRC Funding!

$156,000 Government of Canada SSHRC Grant Awarded for the OTESSA Journal!

We are pleased to announce that after a few long years of starting up and operating an open access journal, we are now funded by the Government of Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council’s Aid for Scholarly Journals grant in the amount of $52,000 per year for 3 years, totalling $156,000. The journal was not eligible for funding or indexing for the first three years of operation, so we are very pleased with this news! This will enable us to add much needed supports to the journal and its processes. Furthermore, it will enable more conference registration dollars to be reinvested back into the community, so stay tuned for more changes! Some of the funding will support new innovations for the journal. We know our community holds many innovators, so please send your creative ideas to journal@otessa.org.
